Why is Reagan looked up to so much?
He ushered in the fiscal shell game, helped bring the Taliban to power, and piled a huge debt on the shoulders of the American people.
About the only good thing I can think of is that he was a good speaker. Is that all it takes?
Reagan is an excellent example of Republican spin and revisionist History.
If a person had the inclination to actually LEARN about Reagan, in this day of the internet and easily accessible information from all over the world, one could educate himself very quickly.
If one stayed away from the rightwing "think tank" sites, that is.
Reagan spent the country into the poorhouse, and had as much to do with the "downfall of the Soviet Union" as I did.
Star Wars was a black hole for tax dollars, which every technical expert on the face of the earth has said WILL NOT WORK. THERE ARE TOO MANY VARIABLES.
And it is still astonishing how many people are ignorant about the Osama/Al Queda /Reagan link.
